The Matera Jazz Guitar Days festival is coming on September 13 and 14, 2025. This new event is promoted by the AquaMater ETS Association in collaboration with the Matera Jazz Association Mifajazz and Jando Music, with the aim of promoting young jazz guitar talents and bringing great national and international artists to the city of Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019.

Oulu, with its 39 partner municipalities in Northern Finland, will step into the spotlight as European Capital of Culture 2026. The full programme will be officially launched on Thursday 4 September 2025 in Oulu, streamed live across Europe.

For two evenings in a row, in Timisoara, European Capital of culture for 2023, on August 2 and 3, starting at 10:30 p.m., the Bega Canal in the Flora area will become a fairy-tale stage and a realm of fantasy. On Timișoara Day, the French company Ilotopie will present the water show Acqua Forte Parade – a spectacular artistic event, the likes of which the city has never seen before.

Pilsen has prepared a special programme for the year 2025 as a celebration of the ten-year anniversary of the Pilsen – European Capital of Culture 2015 project. It will offer unique performances which will take place in the Czech Republic for the very first time but also traditional festivals enriched with the anniversary programme.

From July 3 to July 13, Trenčín will become part of the largest Central European literary festival. The theme: exile literature.
